This policy applies to normal use and installation in accordance with our instructions.

What if I purchased my WireSprout on Amazon?

No problem — we’re still happy to help.

If you purchased WireSprout through Amazon, we can assist with technical support and warranty requests. Please have your Amazon order number available and submit your request through our contact form so we can verify the purchase.

Do I need extra slots on my irrigation timer to use WireSprout?

It depends on how you are using WireSprout.

WireSprout expands wiring capacity, not timer (controller) capacity.

  • If you are adding a new sprinkler valve or zone, your irrigation timer must have an available zone terminal.

  • If you are bypassing a broken or cut wire, you can reuse the existing timer slot associated with that wire.

Each sprinkler valve must still be programmed separately at the timer.

Are there wire distance limitations when using WireSprout?

We have not identified any specific distance limitations unique to WireSprout.

However, standard irrigation wiring best practices apply:

  • Longer wire runs may require larger gauge wire

  • Poor splices or undersized wire can affect valve performance

Following general sprinkler wiring guidelines will ensure reliable operation.

What shipping options do you offer?

We offer free USPS First Class Package shipping on all standard orders within the United States.

If you need overnight or expedited shipping, please contact us through the contact form prior to ordering to confirm availability and pricing.

What if both sprinkler zones turn on at the same time?

If both valves activate simultaneously, something is not wired correctly.

This is usually caused by:

  • An incorrect wiring connection at the irrigation timer

  • A wiring error inside the valve box

Please take clear photos of:

  1. The wiring at the irrigation timer

  2. The wiring in the yard or valve box

Submit them through our contact form, and we can quickly identify what needs to be corrected.

Is WireSprout a switch like other sprinkler wiring products?

No. WireSprout is not a switch.

Each sprinkler valve connected with WireSprout:

  • Has its own dedicated control wire

  • Is programmed separately at the irrigation timer

  • Operates independently, just like a standard wired zone

WireSprout does not alternate or switch power between valves.

Which WireSprout package should I choose?

The right WireSprout package depends on how many sprinkler valves you need to control and the size of your project.

  • Single Pack / 2-Pack: Ideal for homeowners repairing one wiring issue or adding a single sprinkler valve or zone

  • Contractor Five-Pack: Designed for irrigation professionals handling multiple zones or larger systems

  • Bulk Ten-Pack: Best for contractors or resellers managing high-volume installations

Each pair of WireSprout units controls two sprinkler valves independently on one existing wire.

Is WireSprout compatible with my irrigation controller?

WireSprout is compatible with most standard 24-volt irrigation controllers and sprinkler valves commonly used in residential and commercial irrigation systems.

If you are unsure whether your specific controller model is compatible, contact us and we’ll be happy to help confirm compatibility before installation.

Do I need to use a grease cap with WireSprout?

A grease cap is not required for most installations. WireSprout is water-resistant and designed for use in standard irrigation environments such as valve boxes and controller enclosures.

However, in areas with frequent water exposure or potential submersion, installing WireSprout inside a standard irrigation grease cap (sold separately) provides additional moisture protection. WireSprout is designed to fit most irrigation grease caps.

Can I use multiple WireSprout units on the same irrigation system?

Yes. Multiple WireSprout pairs can be used within the same irrigation system to repair wiring issues or expand zone capacity.

Each WireSprout pair controls two sprinkler valves independently. Your irrigation controller must have available zone terminals for each valve added.

Is there an instructional video available?

Yes. An instructional video demonstrating installation and operation is available on our homepage and provides a step-by-step overview of how WireSprout works.
